I should have posted this earlier but last Sunday, FIVE DAYS GONE won Best Screenplay at the Brooklyn Film Festival. Thank you to all the judges and the festival. Also thank you to Bethany Heinrich for standing in for me and making an impromptu speech. And of course - thanks to all who attended!

Sam Rosen's Film "Stuck Between Stations"

Five Days Gone cast member Sam Rosen co-wrote and acted in a film called "Stuck Between Stations" which premiered at Tribeca this year. Like myself, Sam knows the difficulties of actually getting a film made - that sometimes it feels like a miracle. Check out his thoughts on the matter.

For our friends in NYC, we have a special treat. Five Days Gone will have its premiere at the Brooklyn Film Festival in Brooklyn Heights in early June (June 3rd-12th). The cast and crew of FDG is largely NYC based so this is definitely a homecoming for us.

June is shaping up to be pretty awesome!

If you are in New York in August you should definitely come check it out! Carolyn Cantor is a fabulous director and there will be an unusually tall cast!

Five Days Gone Sound Mix Complete!

I had a wonderful time working with the guys at Ground Control Studio in Brooklyn.

I worked mostly with my friend and sound wiz Murray Trider. A chill and pleasant experience through and through, I was greeted every morning by some coffee and a delicious confection from Marlow and Sons. They improved the MASSIVELY improved the sound quality in ways that I never had imagined and they were extremely reasonable (if you're looking for someone to record your band/film/ADR/mix your film).

Looking forward to putting it all together!

Our cast member Darren Goldstein is currently on Broadway in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson - an original, rolicking rock musical about yes, Andrew Jackson and Populism and Revolution and Testosterone. I have a very special place in my heart for this show (I Assistant Directed the first workshop of the production at the Williamstown Theater Festival back in 2006). The Writer/Director Alex Timbers is a great talent and wonderful dude.

But most importantly, it's a really fun show and it closes on January 2nd! AND tickets are only $65 which is insanely cheap for a show on the old Broadway.

Tomorrow, Wednesday December 8th go check out the film Gabi on the Roof in July at 92Y Tribeca.

Five Days Gone cast member Brooke Bloom is in the movie - which won Best Film at the 2010 Brooklyn Film Festival.
